Budapest - The city of spas

Budapest received official recognition for its thermal and medicinal waters as early as 1934, so its hardly a surprise that health tourism plays an important role today.

The original Turkish baths of the city have been faithfully restored now to provide a fantastic setting for clients to unwind and relax in.
On Fridays and Saturdays bathing times are extended all night – to four o’clock in the morning – and Sundays are family days.

Nowadays virtually every four-star hotel or higher comes complete with its own array of health and fitness services, and many of these are genuinely spas in their own right, that is to say the internationally-known services they provide are based first and foremost on the proven medicinal properties of the mineral water to be found there. The atmosphere is conducive to effective treatment, and qualified medical assistance is always at hand.

Rudas Turkish Bath

Some of the outside baths are open all year around, like the world famous Széchenyi bath on the picture below.  There is nothing better on a Sunday afternoon to sit outside here soaked in hot water and occasionally run out to the snow to freshen up.  These baths are located in the nicest historical parts of Budapest.

We will provide detailed information here from mid April through our partner site.  Please come back soon to see more here!  In the meanwhile please feel free to contact us with any questions, requests and we will try our best to help you!
